Is Your Mother also..? A Bandage for the Mother Wound
TUDATOSSÁG, 2026-06-24., 14:00 - 15:15
In my work, I repeatedly experience that when someone is able to emotionally settle their relationship with their parents (even if only internally), their difficulties in intimate relationships and parenting begin to shift in a positive direction. Spontaneously.
This is not magic, of course. When a person no longer has to look upward, toward their parents, begging for acceptance and love, they become internally strengthened and capable of caring for a partner on an equal level, and of offering the next generation what they themselves may have missed.
Through emotional separation and the understanding and acceptance of the other, inner strength emergesone that has an impact on multiple levels of life. This is precisely why I have been facilitating dramatic, family-based self-awareness groups for many years.
In this lecture, I would like to explore the following topics:
-
what the mother wound is,
-
how someone might recognize that they were affected in childhood,
-
how this impacts adult life,
-
where fathers responsibility lies,
-
what paths of healing and processing are available,
-
how to consciously take ownership of ones own mothering role,
-
and what parentification means.
