I often wonder why the incredibly talented women around meeach of whom possesses a unique gift and a distinctive perspectivestruggle so much to express themselves, to start connecting with people through their work, and, incidentally, to make money from it.
The biggest headache comes from the area we traditionally call marketing, but in very simple terms, its really about building and maintaining relationships. So ultimately, Ive come to realize that the fear of self-expression and marketing paralysis is actually a fear of peopleof embarrassment, of feeling awkward, of deafening silence and the lack of feedback, of causing disappointment.
We fear relationships because we have been hurt in them, and paradoxically, the only place we can heal is in relationships.
Your vocation can therefore be the place of your own healing, which then naturally radiates out into the world.
