Bence Gánti

Integral psychologist, M.A.

Bence Gánti, M.A. is an integral-oriented psychologist and clinical psychologist, a leading figure in the development of the integral approach in Hungary, an internationally recognized teacher, and the founder of the Integral Academy.

After graduating in Psychology from Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in 1999, he continued his studies not only within Hungarian clinical and psychotherapeutic training programs, but also internationally. He studied directly with Ken Wilber, the founder of Integral Theory, in the United States, and deepened his training in yoga and Buddhist meditation traditions in the Far East including India, Burma (Myanmar), and Thailand.

By integrating Western and Eastern knowledge and practices, Bence represents integral psychology as a global, integrative, and culture-independent approach. This framework is equally capable of supporting:

  • wellbeing and self-actualization in everyday life,

  • spiritual awakening for those on a spiritual path, and

  • the processing of psychological difficulties within the clinical field.

In 2006, he founded the Integral Academy in Budapest, which offers a three-year professional training program in integral psychology. He is also the founder and director (since 2014) of the Integral European Conference (IEC), the main biennial gathering of the international integral community.

Beyond Europe, he has actively contributed to the development of the global integral movement by supporting the creation of the Integral African Conference (IAC) in South Africa and the Integral Latin American Conference in Colombia helping to strengthen key acupuncture points of the worldwide integral network.

Alongside his organizational and teaching work, Bence trains teachers and facilitates personal development, therapeutic, and self-inquiry trainings and retreats. In Hungary, these are known as Integral Camp, while internationally they are offered under the name Integral Flow Experience workshops and retreats.

He also maintains a private practice, offering individual therapy sessions in Budapest and online via Zoom. Internationally, he teaches in the United States, where he lived for seven years in San Francisco and became a U.S. citizen during Barack Obamas presidency. During this time, alongside his studies with Ken Wilber, he lectured on integral psychology at San Francisco State University and Meridian University, and actively participated as a group leader and organizer at American integral conferences and events.

His teaching and group facilitation work has also taken him to numerous countries worldwide, including Mexico, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, and Greece.
