Bea Bibók

Bea Bibók is the author of Stolen Childhood and Stolen Adulthood. She earned her degree in Psychology at BabeșBolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, and later completed her training as a specialist in sex psychology at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). In her work, she takes a systemic approach to relationship challenges.

In her current talk, she focuses on parentification.

Bibók Beas books have made a powerful impact and offer readers a new lens through which to view family dynamics. Through her work, readers and listeners begin to understand parts of their lives that once felt confusing or hard to name. 

Why did they become little adults so early in their families? Why do they grow up to be perfectionists, living self-sacrificing lives without sparing themselves? Why is it that they often achieve great success in rational, performance-driven areas of life, yet feel exhausted, depleted, and unhappy in their emotional relationships carrying a sense of being used or taken for granted?

They are successful and deeply giving, and yet often unhappy. In this talk, we explore the answers to these questions together.
