Consciousness researcher, drug expert

He obtained his PhD degree in social sciences with a major in psychology in Finland in 2017. The topic of his doctoral dissertation was consciousness research, including altered states of consciousness (dreaming, hypnosis, hallucinations). As an international expert on the topic of psychoactive substances, especially psychedelics, his areas of interest are substance-using communities, spirituality, and psychedelic psychotherapies. He has been active in the domestic and international arenas of drug information and practical harm reduction for a long time as part of the Daath.hu - Hungarian Psychedelic Community and the DÁT2 Psy Help team. In Hungary, he has taught his own subjects at Tan Kapuja Buddhist College, ELTE, and Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Chrurch in Hungary.

Altered states of consciousness and psychedelic experiences have always been considered key tools within alternative psychology and spiritual self-inquiry methods, including the practices of shamanism that have accompanied humanity since ancient times.

Such states can be induced in many ways, for example through relaxation, meditation, or specific movement and breathing techniques, and in justified psychotherapeutic contexts, also through the use of psychedelics.

In these cases, however, the use of various consciousness-altering substances cannot be regarded as drug use, as in many instances they are applied precisely to help resolve substance addictions. During the roundtable discussion, we will hear about the many pathways to accessing these states of consciousness, as well as their past, present, and future applications, presented by professionals deeply engaged with the topic.
