Gábor Goda
Director, choreographer, Merited Artist
Gábor Goda is the founder, director, and artistic director of ARTUS Studio, a role he has held since 1997. He is the creator of the Weight-Flow Contact GODA Method for Human Bridges.
I believe that what is truly worth knowing can be learned either directly from spiritual sources, from masters, or from the body itself exclusively through lived experience. Alongside spiritual approaches, the body is our most authentic teacher. It constantly gives feedback and shows direction. The body is wise. In a relaxed, freely flowing body, Life flows freely and Spirit becomes liberated. From this point on, connection no longer binds us it opens us and sets us free. When we truly find ourselves, the separate ego dissolves into wholeness.
He originally trained as an engineer and once dreamed of becoming a bridge designer. His studies in civil engineering, his complex artistic work within ARTUS, the practice of contact improvisation, regular Tai Ji training, experiences of family life, and an ongoing inner spiritual search all eventually converged as expressions of the same source.
After 25 years of this journey, in 2006, these paths crystallized into the Weight-Flow Contact method, which you can also experience at this years Everness Festival in the form of a workshop.
