Our bodies don't forget. Fascia is an intelligent network that wraps around our muscles and organs, and it's where we often store stress experiences that our minds have forgotten. In this class, we use the passive power of Yin yoga to penetrate deeper layers. The goal is to release stuck tissues so that stiffness can be replaced by inner flow. We allow the body to release unnecessary burdens at a cellular level, opening the way to real, physical relief.
Chronic stress and constant alertness can put a significant strain on the body, causing elevated cortisol levels, which can hinder true rest and regeneration. This class focuses on physical relaxation and restoring balance. During the practice, we help the area around the adrenal glands to relax. The goal is to calm the body's stress responses and release accumulated tension from the system. By directing attention inward, we bring the nervous system into a state of rest, allowing the body to deeply renew itself. This opportunity gives you the opportunity to release chronic tension and return to your natural, inner peace.
Why do we feel constantly "on alert"? The key lies in the Vagus nerve, the master regulator of our nervous system. In this trauma-aware class, we use specific Yin poses and somatic exercises to stimulate this vital nerve to shift from "fight or flight" mode to "rest and heal." We teach the body to feel safe in the present moment again, increasing nervous system flexibility and internal stability.
