Much like Japanese mythology, rich with tales in which the student kills the master, MAKOTO SAN whispers a story to us.

Since time immemorial, the School of Bamboo has shaped and refined an extraordinary instrumentarium. The last sensei, Mr. Makoto (Makoto San), preserved the knowledge and philosophy of the school and attempted to pass them on to four wanderers.

Irreverent by nature, the apprentices took his uncompromising, ascetic teachings and fused them with Western electronic and techno music.
An unforgivable sacrilege turning them into rōnin, masterless outcasts.

Out of shame for this betrayal of the senseis teaching, they chose to carry it on behind masks.
