Zsófia Vétek
Neuroaffirmative psychologist, special education teacher, family therapist in training
Zsófia Vétek is a psychologist, special education teacher, educator, and writer, and one of the leading representatives of the neurodiversity movement in Hungary. She completed her studies at Eötvös Loránd University and Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary, and is currently training as a family and couples therapist.
She is a founding member of the Neurodiverse Workshop, co-author of the book AuTypical, and one of the developers of Neuroaffirmative Therapy (NAFT). Over several years, she has worked in child and adolescent psychiatric care, pedagogical services, and higher education settings.
Currently, she runs a private practice, teaches at Pázmány Péter Catholic University, and plays an active role in professional training programs organized by the Neurodiverse Workshop.
Her work focuses on the psychological support of autistic and ADHD children, adolescents, and adults, as well as on accompanying their families. In her practice, she is committed to making psychological care and education accessible to neurodivergent people in ways that are safe, understandable, and aligned with their authentic selves.
